Labotec has partnered with Centrafin to offer 3-5 year Operating Rental options to clients who would like to acquire new equipment.

Why Rent?

Rentals offer an affordable monthly payment over an agreed term as opposed to an immediate capital expenditure. Your monthly cash flow and budgeting are positively affected and our Rental ensures you are always at the forefront of technology changes. For example, let’s you are paying a monthly rental of R10 000.00 and in 4 years’ time there is a newer model with lower operating costs. Labotec could upgrade the unit at a similar monthly rental and your lab would enjoy the benefits of the latest technology available then.

Should you reach the end of the initial term and not want to upgrade, various options exist that can be negotiated.

Service Level Agreements are also available from Labotec to ensure optimum efficiency and maintenance of the equipment over this time period. This gives you peace of mind so that you can focus on your core business without major interruptions or downtime.

The way it works

Should you decide to apply for the rental option, a Rental Application process must be completed. To do this, a 1-page credit application form must be submitted (see the link below) with some financial information. Then Centrafin will complete a quick in-house credit process to approve the deal. Once all the necessary agreements are signed, you may rent the new Labotec equipment from Centrafin. At the end of the term, there is a choice to upgrade and get new replacement equipment aligned to a new warranty and new technology or continue to rent the current equipment at a reduced rental.

Some of the benefits of rentals include:

  • Transactions can be customised to match monthly cash flows and budgets
  • Administration is easier as Capex requests are always required
  • Periods of 24 months to 60 months can be accommodated
  • VAT on the monthly rentals may be claimed back
  • No impact on your existing credit facilities.
  • At the end of the term, there will be the option of an upgrade, where you can get the latest new equipment aligned to a new warranty or rent the existing equipment at a reduced rental.

Separate Service Level Agreements are also available from Labotec which can be collected in conjunction with the Rental to ensure optimum efficiency and maintenance of the equipment over the Rental term, thereby reducing downtime and ensuring productivity.
