1. I am a COD customer, what is the payment process?
Payment is cash on delivery. However, if the item is a non-stock item specially ordered for you, then an upfront payment of 50% will be required with the balance due before delivery/collection
2. How does Rate of Exchange influence the pricing?
Our non-stock prices are based on the current exchange rate of the currency of the supplier involved and shown on the quote. Any variation between the rate as quoted and the actual rate at time of invoicing will be for your account, debit or credit. However we can also buy forward cover on your request and offer firm pricing.
3. Is delivery and installation included in the cost of purchase?
Yes, delivery is free anywhere within the borders of South Africa provided the order value is over R1 500. For orders under R1 500 a small handling fee will be charged, or if the goods are exported outside the South African borders, delivery costs will be quoted upfront. Installation is included in the price, so there will be no extra charge for this.
4. How long will delivery take?
This depends on the scenario. If the goods are in stock, then delivery takes around 3 working days. If the goods are imported via airfreight it will take around 4-6 weeks, or via sea-freight will take 12-14 weeks. Your sales consultant will be able to give you the specific time period depending on the order at the time.
5. Can I send my equipment to Labotec for repairs if I don`t want the repair done on site?
Yes, Labotec has their own repair/maintenance workshop so you can choose whether you want to send the equipment to our technical department. A technician can also be requested to visit your premises for on-site repairs, servicing and maintenance.
6. Can I buy spares from Labotec and do the repair myself?
Yes, you can purchase spare parts for the equipment we sell
7. Are there technicians available at all the Labotec branches?
Yes, there are technical services available at all of our branches
