Labotec Celebrates 65 Years of Excellence in Scientific Equipment Supply

Labotec proudly marks its 65th anniversary this year, a remarkable milestone made possible by the unwavering support of our valued clients. For over six and a half decades, Labotec has been at the forefront of supplying cutting-edge laboratory equipment and technology to diverse scientific and research institutions across Southern Africa. This journey has been one of growth, innovation, and resilience, shaped by the ever-evolving landscape of scientific discovery. As we celebrate this legacy, we remain committed to building an even brighter future.

A Legacy of Excellence and Innovation

Founded in 1960 by Klaus Harth, Labotec started with a simple yet crucial product—a piece of glass. The company initially supplied Schott laboratory and technical glassware, glass ceramics, and large radiation protection windows. Over time, Labotec expanded its offerings to include locally manufactured laboratory equipment, evolving into a comprehensive solution provider for the scientific community. Today, Labotec continues to strengthen its relationships with suppliers, some of whom have been partners for over 40 years, ensuring that generations of customers receive the highest quality products and services.

Celebrating Success and Teamwork

In February, Labotec hosted a glittering staff celebration at the Midrand Conference Centre, where CEO Ambigai Naidoo reflected on the company’s journey.
