Labotec recently hosted a workshop, “Latest Sample Preparation Technology”, at their head offices in Midrand, Guest speaker, Dagmar Klein of Fritsch in Germany presented the workshop. The objective was to show analysts how to get rapid, reproducible results every time samples are prepared. The range of equipment covered size reduction, sample processing, particle sizing and analysis, and sample dividing and feeding.
The delegates were invited to bring their own samples, which was prepared on the Fritsch mills at the workshop. Dagmar Klein also covered theory on sample preparation and device-related implementation. The interaction, practical demonstrations and discussion of each of the results was of great value to the participants, who each had the chance to introduce their company, and their special application.
