Viral RNA kits for SARS-coV-2
During the process of testing for SARS-coV-2 patient samples first must be processed so that qPCR diagnostic testing can take place. This processing includes RNA extraction using the AmpliMax Viral RNA Kit. This kit employs superparamagnetic spherical particles that selectively bind viral RNA fragments, forming a particle-nucleic acid complex that is easily separated from the aqueous phase using a magnet. The IsoBind Viral RNA Kit takes 30 minutes to process 24 samples resulting in purified viral RNA. It is based on silica spin column technology and designed for the isolation of viral RNA from cell free fluids such as plasma, serum, urine, swabs and cell culture supernatant.
