The Institute of Chemical and Biotechnology (ICBT), part of the Faculty of Applied and Computer Sciences at the Vaal University of Technology (VUT), has recently acquired an ELGA Chorus I water purification system. This system will support the preparation of standards and samples for ICP-OES analysis of heavy metals in soil, water testing and Cannabis sativa L. As part of its ongoing development, the laboratory is working toward full accreditation as a cannabis testing facility, equipped with top class instruments.
