Thermo Scientific has just launched their new Forma Series 3 Water Jacketed CO2 Incubator, which has been equipped with an intuitive and interactive touch screen controller called iCANtm to make it easier than ever before to control and monitor your cell cultures. The iCANtm controller and an upgraded infrared (IR) CO2 sensor for enhanced stability has been paired with three user technologies for simple and reliable operation that helps scientists better manage their process.
Temperature stability with water jacket design:
The unique triple-wall construction will deliver optimal temperature uniformity insuring cultures experience the same conditions regardless of location. The ultimate thermal stability protects valuable cell cultures against ambient temperature swings and unexpected power outages.
Protection with HEPA air filtration:
This minimises the risk of airborne contaminants entering the incubator from multiple door openings. In-chamber HEPA filtration reaches ISO 5 clean room air quality in five minutes by filtering the chamber air every 60 seconds.
Enhanced flexibility with complete O2 control:
Many cells thrive best in CO2 incubators with controlled levels of oxygen. The dedicated O2 display allows one to set points in the range of 1-21% for more accurate monitoring.
These three technologies, combined with the iCANtm touch screen interface, which is a door-mounted, provides complete data visibility to monitor all incubator interactions with on-board error and data logging, making this a safe haven for important cell cultures.
