Hettich Zentrifugen’s Universal 320 benchtop centrifuge has a modern classic shape, excellent performance record and comprehensive range of accessories that enable you to carry out virtually any centrifuging task required in any industrial, research or clinical laboratory, these features all add up to provide good reasons why this centrifuge is called Universal. Now with the new rotors Hettich Universal 320 centrifuge can offer more safety, capacity and convenience.
The Universal rotors with either a Swing-out rotor with a choice of carriers for either max. 4 x 200ml or 8 x 50 ml or an angle rotor with max. 10.595 RCF has a bio-containment lid and single-hand clamp lock. This makes it convenient to transport the centrifuge, or fix, or remove the lid.
In the low speed range, the Universal 320 process standard tubes up to a volume of 200ml, microtitre plates, conical tubes with screw cap, blood collection tubes and cyto accessories.
Microlitre tubes can be accelerated to an RCF of 21 255. Centrifuge tubes taking higher volumes (up to 85ml) also profit from the powerful motor, and at an RCF of 9 509 bacteria and yeast sediment quickly and easily. The Universal has extremely short run-up and run-down times with a fast cool function and temperature settings from -20°C to +40°C.
The display panel is designed ergonomically, and during centrifugation actual parameter values are clearly and legibly indicated here. Nine acceleration and braking ramps, or unbraked run-down can be preselected. The stored parameter combination remains in memory even after switch off. By entering the rotor radius r/mm, the centrifuge calculates and indicates the rotational speed RPM or the relative centrifugal force. The twist knob allows quick and easy entry or changing of parameters.
