Labotec’s annual awards ceremony on February 16th was a highlight reel of talent, dedication, and unity, as the entire company and branches from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban converged for a memorable celebration.
Among the stars of the event was Thato Masetle, whose sheer dedication earned her the highly praised Best Technician award. Alex Mogano stood out as the Best Internal Sales, demonstrating his strong commitment and promising future for Labotec’s sales success. Lucas Ngobeni’s outstanding reliability and dedication earned him the prestigious Best BMD & Logistics award, ensuring that Labotec’s operations not only run smoothly but thrive under his diligent stewardship.
Karabo Setlhapelo’s exceptional sales skills were recognized with the Best Salesperson of the Year award, a testament to his unwavering determination. Setting a personal goal at the start of 2023, Karabo’s journey exemplifies the saying that when you put your mind to something, you will achieve it. Alongside Karabo, Ronny Mokgerer and Simba Tarutira were honoured for their outstanding service in safeguarding Labotec’s security, showcasing the company’s dedication to safety and well-being.
As the ceremony drew to a close, the company bid farewell to Louis van der Heever, who after 44 years of dedicated service, is embarking on a well-deserved retirement. Louis’s contributions have left a lasting impact on Labotec, and his presence will be sincerely missed. As Labotec looks forward, it does so with a renewed sense of pride and purpose, fueled by the dedication and achievements of its outstanding employees.
