Each year at Labotec we like to collect something under the Christmas tree in our reception at Head Office in Midrand for a good cause. This year there was doggy stuff under the tree. The staff also collected enough money to support a puppy in training for a year in 2017. This puppy will eventually grow up to become a guide dog for a sight-disabled person.
Melanie Nel (pictured left) and her team from the Guide Dog Association (GDA) visited Labotec on the 9 Dec to receive the cheque presented by Debbie Shaw, Marketing Manager at Labotec (pictured right). Later that day, Melanie sent this message, “thank you again for having us visit you today and for the wonderful donations – we already dropped off all the blankets and doggy-treats at our kennels, they are so grateful. Your support of S.A. Guide-Dogs Association will go towards helping us to support the differently-abled in South Africa”. Juliette Powell Head of Marketing at GDA added, “It is people like yours that make a difference by giving the gift of independence, mobility and companionship to those who need it most”.
