The use of electronic pipettes has improved throughput and turnaround time at the South African National Control Laboratory for Biological Products, a vaccine testing facility for SAHPRA and the WHO. “Specifically, we use the INTEGRA Assist Plus to automate our ELISA and cell-based potency assays,” says Marli Geldenhuys, Lab Manager at NCL.

She adds, “Testing multiple serotypes across several plates simultaneously reduces run time, while the Assist Plus minimizes vial-to-vial variation during serial titration. Additionally, the electronic pipette reduces strain on our analysts compared to manual pipetting.”
